I e-mailed EKI yesterday asking them what the chance of getting a FACTORY waved CQC7A was. I received a reply from Derek saying that they are going to be making them in the near future, but to remember that that is in Emerson time.

Cool. I like the Spearpoint blades better now that I can get them super scary sharp on my Spyderco 204. Just can't get the Tantos as sharp for some reason. But for serious tactical use, I believe in the tip strength of the tanto. The factory edge on my spearpoint SOCFK is really scary!!!

I was just thinking today about getting a waved spear point for my job, the tanto works great on boxes and saranwrap but I think the spear point will work alot better. I have never owned a spear point Emerson, mine are all tantos. Hey Brigadier did you go ahead and order one or did Derek tell you to wait and call in a couple of weeks? I'm thinking black-ti serr. with green g10...

KEEP EM SHARP OR IT'S USELESS

Staysharp,
He said to keep checking the website for them. But he also reminded me that they operate on Emerson time, so it may be a while. I'd love to get a Green-T plain blade to send to Kevin Robinson for bolsters and micarta scales and jeweled and blue anodized liners!

Heck, while I'm waiting, I might see if Extreme Outfitters has any spearpoint Green-T SOCFK's and do the same with it!

My CQC7A doesn't have the wave feature but is a cool knife nonetheless...it's the only Emerson I have for now. I recently got a Spyderco 204 Sharpmaker and was able to get the plain portion of the blade very sharp, and it's the first chisel-ground blade I've ever sharpened. I think mine is an older version, because the serrated part is less "aggressive" than some I've seen. Oddly enough, the plain portion cuts far better than the serrated area. Wish it was all plain edge. The knife itself is very comfortable in the hand and locks up smoothly and solidly.

Are these only available from Emerson or are dealers selling them? If so, who has them for sale?
