Faded Busse logo?

What would a extremely faded Busse logo indicate on a mint satin finished knife? I am considering a purchase with this description but it makes me a little uneasy since I have never seen this before.

Possibly been buffed? Or just a light etch? Just a couple guesses.

Probably had some minor scratches that were buffed out.
It wouldn't bother me if I was going to make it a user
and the price was right.

May be nothing,I have seen some mint blades that had a light logo.

If it is a SARGE7, it's most likely a light etch. All 3 of mine were very light...so light, I had trouble photographing the number and can barely feel them (if at all) with a finger.

The knives themselves are absolutely fine. :thumbup:

Some of the older blades such as the very early satin SHSHII did have a faint BUSSE logo, they were called the "Ghost" Steel Hearts. There aren't too many of them though.

Thanks for all the replies. I believe it is a FSH made a couple of years ago. It made me curious because none of my Busse knives have faded logos. I think I am a little paranoid over this whole counterfeit issue. I recently watched a 60 minutes rerun on how the Chinese can counterfeit just about anything.

My basic 10le pair The name BUSSE and the serial numbers don't stand out like most of the other knives that come out of the shop.

I have been told you can send it back to Busse and they will re-coat it or refinish it or whatever it takes to get it like new...
