So... I used my brand new Bauer HF BandSaw and cut out a profile for a blade. When I was done, I saw another piece I wanted to get. I pulled the trigger and nothing... it did not work. Has anyone else had this problem with the bandsaw? Very frustrating. I saw on YouTube one similar case and it was the variable speed switch had come undone, and he uses his upright as I was using mine for the 10 minutes I used it. It sliced through the steel with ease, motor was warm, not super hot or anything.. weird. Any suggestions on how to fix? The guy in the video seemed pretty handy (I am not..) what are other portable bandsaws that might stay within my $150 budget
Thanks,
-Clay

I walked into a Harbor Freight store twice once each in two different cities.
That was a long time ago when they first fell to earth.
Both times I was simply appalled at the quality of what I saw. It was like a joke version of a tool store. Not every one gets the joke; some people think they'er serious. I have many, many, many REAL metal working tools from band saws (both hand held and floor standing), a full size metal lathe, large assed TIG welder, many torches you name it.
I know what real tools are.
BF aint it ! ! !

Here . . . here's an example LINK TO PHOTO >>>
That's $400 now.
I paid at least $500 for mine way back in the day; it came with a steel box to protect the saw in transport.
I bet mine is a much better saw than the one in the photo I posted even though in theory they are the same saw.
Good luck getting anything but a fake toy for $150.
