I was using the switchplier to cut some hard wires when I felt something snapped in the plier.
It was not the wire, but a small piece of silverish stuff broke out.
I try to use the plier but in vain.
It cannot react to my grip.
something must have broken withnin the mechanism.
It just sucks........:(

wondering can I send it back for repair?
or just throw it away............get a leatherman and forget this lousy brand.:jerkit:

throw some pics up and lets take a look

pretty sure if it was under normal working conditions (not under abuse) then warranty will cover it.

thats too bad. never owned a sog multitool but i own(ed) the seal pup, seal pup elite, and trident. all spectacular knives.

hope things turn out well for you

cheers

I don't know what useage the switch had been through before you cut the wire, but with my usage I find the switch to be very light duty. I messed up a switch cutting some small copper linkage and buggered them up real good, gave them to a friend and he sent it in for repair. Years later now, I have another one but I rarely use it. Maybe for fear I would screw up another one. :o

I think it was really the spring....
I only used it for light chores.
But if I am to buy a plier that cant even cut some god damn wires, what good does it have? To hold and grab stuff?
Its just a great let down. :barf:
