So....I had my buddy Todd Combs stop by this morning and bring with him a Ti kitchen knife that Daniel had made. He asked me to give it a test drive. So far i have only cut up a few apples, but tonight i will give it a good run. I will try to run it through some meats, assorted veggies and maybe some harder fruits and what not. First impressions are, Man this thing is light and fast! The carbidizing on it makes it a touch sticky in the apples, and i can see that with potatoes also, but not a hinderance. It slides through the apples pretty easily. A little too much belly for my liking, but for rock chopping it is awesome. It cuts very well, and i would like to see a gyuto made with this stuff. It has a double chisel grind :P and a chisel ground edge, that cut very well. First impressions is very nice knife Daniel :D I will keep you posted over the next few days i have it.

Thanks for posting this Mike and I look forward to your opinion on the knife.

It is nice to have another knife maker review my work, especially a kitchen knife maker. I hope it does well! :D

you didn't cut those apples - you massacred them :))
very nice, Daniel! is it that the handle is sleek and thin, or the blade is ultra wide?

I'd say a bit of both, I'd guess the blade is 2" tall, the handle is on the sleeker side. Thanks!
