Make folders!

:D No kidding... that's the goal this year. I'm going to be putting out the best folding knives money can buy!

Framelocks and Friction Folders will be my main focus. I'm still working on the Balisong design and hope to make some by later this year.

I'm going to do a handful of fixed blade runs which may include the Pocket Fighter, the Ti Bottle Opener Knife, a new Hunter design, a Kogotana or small Tanto, the Backpacker, Legal EDC and more. I'm not planning on a lot of fixed blades and will likely have them available with one batch made of each design.

My goals last year were to make 100 of one model, triple sales over my first year and make the Framelocks. I wound up learning about Framelock making and how to work on my equipment but fell short on making very many. This year I am ready and confident that the folders will happen! I was lucky enough to sell 100 Backpackers and triple sales. Last year I doubled sales over the first year and you can count on me to stay as I love making knives and business is great... living the dream! :D Thanks again everyone.
:)

Framelock - it will have a different clip and a stonewashed finish, the carved frame is likely a one off... but you get the general idea. :D

Open - ~8.5"
Closed - ~4.95"
Blade - just under 3.5"

.207" thick CPM D2 Blade
.190" thick All Titanium Frames

Friction Folder

Titanium with a Carbide edge - easy to sharpen, even easier to maintain and will never rust.

.160" Carbidized Titanium Blade
.100" Titanium Frames

6.8" long
2.9" blade

- Heat Colored Titanium Standoffs

- Heat Colored Screws

- Stonewashed Finish with Satin Bevel and Polished Edge

- 72 RC Carbide Edge

- Ultra Light ~60 Grams or just over 2 ounces

Thanks, Daniel!
I hope you are buckled in! You are going to be one busy maker!
Have a Great New Year!

Watchout! The man has a plan!

Expecting nothing but the best yet and the worst of what's to come! Onwards and upwards!

Gotta get me one of the TiCarFrikkies...would be an wesome "office knife" at work. My Skyline needs a break.

Standing by for my first DF knife.
I hear Daniel is working on it... now.
:D

Would that be a frame lock, Rolf?
My Camp Knife has been one of the best made and most useful knives I've had. Can't wait for the kydex to be done on my Pocket Fighter and have that lil' bad boy on my belt! I'm still on my Fixed blade kick with no end in sight so I really hope they keep up. I do really dig the DFK folders, especially the frame lock!

I have zero doubt that Daniel will find 2014 a major turning point. I can only speak for myself but I don't know of another maker with his finger so squarely on the pulse of "awesome" without an arse reaming price. Surely the best and busiest times are ahead!

My advice: Get 'em while you can, folks!

Not a frame-lock, Mr. Blue.^
Daniel is making me a S.S.I.K. folder.
Daniel's folder design will keep him very bust for some time to come. This is one of the nicest folders on the market. You all get one, you hear?
I would like to get a small Ti tanto fixed blade from Daniel next but that will be down the road. Wife's orders. :D

Much better mission statement than "lose weight, eat better and get into shape". Looking forward to what 2014 holds!!!

Ya know Daniel, you should probably just go ahead and finish up all the fixed blades and send them to me to get them out of your way. You know, free up shop space n'stuff;)

I do see a framelock riding in my pocket sometime in 2014 though! Great design.
