Fairly Knives Plans and Changes for 2013 - Please Read

[Daniel Fairly Knives]

A lot of great things are happening this year at Fairly Knives!

I am making some major changes in order to increase quality and to make buying easier. My goal this year is to make the very best knives with no compromise.


Major Changes

- All buying will be done on a first come first serve basis this year.

- No lists, dibs and I will still not be taking any new custom orders this year.


My focus will be smaller with higher quality as the outcome.



Currently I'll be doing knives by runs. I'll make a batch and when they are done they will go up for sale.

By the end of the year I also hope to have a small line (or two!) of knives available all the time.

Keep an eye out for one off's and limited runs too!



I will also be continuing to fulfill my older orders and the folder list of course.

Also look out for fun stuff in the future, I owe everyone for all the support and we will continue to build!

Another goal is to keep my prices steady for the year. I think that will work out well for everyone that needs a knife.

Does this mean I have to sit 24/7 here on the forum, hitting reload every fifteen seconds so I can be first to snipe a knife or can I take an occasional potty break every week or so to change out the overflowing Depends?

I have been enforcing this policy all year but did not want to confuse the issue on the folders, if you were talking to me last year about them I didn't want to be unfair and cut anybody off.

I'm trying to slowly shift into things but the policy is in effect from now to the end of the year.

Good thing I wasn't my usual deliberate self, and did the impulse thing and signed up for the folder.

I now know what I have to do- simply send Daniel an email, every single day, that says "I'll take one!!!". That way, whatever he's revealed while I nap, I'm in!

Sorta like eBay sniping software.

One of the main reasons I am doing this is because I'll be making them until everybody gets one.

I hope to incorporate more knives into the mix later as well, I want to make sure everyone gets what they want.

Thanks for the reassurance Daniel : ) I honestly had the list cross my mind prior to falling asleep last night. I'm realllly looking fwd to owning a DFK folder. You're a good dude, very cool of you to pass around the goodness. There are some knife makers who are two years plus out and who knows they may have the same person listed 10 times. I really enjoy visiting your forum and have gravitated away from USN actually to your page. 2013 is gonna be a great year. Glad the Myans were wrong ha ha.

That is true on the two year list thing... I didn't want to be that guy.

I was taking orders... lol stuff gets crazy! I had over 100 orders just from my first 10 knives. I still have a few to make after over a year of not taking any orders.

I'll stay with my same style and refine the designs I like the best. They are going to be the best yet!
