Buyer Beware!

I am seeing fake Chris Reeve Sebenza knockoffs on e-Bay again. They are presented as a Large Sebenza 21, but then say that the blade is D2. Of course, the dead giveaway is the price; well below $100.

So watch out for other knock offs.

Well it seems that Ebay doesn´t really care much that vendors use it´s marketplace to sell counterfeit knives. " Caveat emptor ". If you want to see real scandalous behavior please Google " Puma Tech 345910 ". Yes, Puma of Germany, with all their talk about traditon, quality, craftmenship, and design, etc. sells a Chris Reeves copy under it´s " International Production " assortment. Made in China, sold worldwide by Puma ! Don´t they know better? Maybe mr. Reeves should get his lawyer to give those gentlemen in Solingen a phonecall, and all you knife users/collectors/dealers should raise hell ?

Those have been on there forever. Ebay does nothing about it. Even if you report it.

Sorry if you misunderstood me. I´n not talking about Ebay. They have a disclaimer that Ebay is not responsible for the private vendors using their platform, This is about Puma. A more than centenarian German company based in Solingen. And BTW their MRSP is € 26.00, about $ 30.00.

I was speaking in response to the original post.

Counterfeits and knockoffs abound. The wise purchaser will not let his good sense be sidetracked by a deal which seems too good to be true.

Buy from reputable makers and purveyors.
