I don't foresee my running out to buy one of these novelties irregardless of price. Any chance they are made specifically to be costume props?
However; thanks for the alert. Chances are they won't be hardened, and that they'll be made from ordinary plate steel

Looking at the picture again I see that you had sharp eyes for spotting the box of welding rods at the upper left! The maker obviously wasn't trying very hard to hide anything.

In highschool they told us the weld is always stronger than the actual material.
Should be perfectly fine axes. No?
