Fake Becker on Amazon

Looking to get a BK18 added to the Amazon Wishlist I came across this advert for a "Generic" knife for $42. To the Chinese company's credit they did not use the KA-BAR logo or Becker branding. But we all know what this is, or isn't I should say.

for future linking, you can remove the ref and everything after it, and it'll keep the link from opening your amazon account for people using it.
 
I’m thinking links to non supporting venders are not be allowed. Even though I know you aren’t deal spotting

in the past, i personally have allowed such links, or at least, DM/PM to a Becker Mod, as we like to forward those to KaBar and Mr Becker for review, and legal takedown, but if we can't see it, we can't do that.

did get an official note from KaBar warning about clones. used to be rare, only a few in many years for this brand, but much easier now.

remember, you haven't made it, unless someone tries to steal your work :D
 
I remember we used to look out for these clones/fakes back in the day. Not trying to push anything; just a buyer beware.
 
I just bought my first Ka-Bar Becker, a BK-10 on Amazon and received it a few days ago. While looking at interviews with Ethan Becker, reviews of other Becker models etc on YouTube I was alarmed to see a couple of videos about fake Beckers.

Can anyone describe any signs mine might be a fake? I messaged the seller this evening and asked if they get their knives directly from Ka-Bar - or a distributer/wholesaler. Will have to wait to see if they respond, but of course no way to know if they are being truthful if they do.
 
R RPZIP Post some pics here. I think you’ll be ok, I haven’t heard of fake BK10s. It seems like the BK18 is the knife getting faked a lot.

I did ask Rufus on Amazon if my knife was genuine. This is what Rufus said...

Yeah one YouTube vid was specifically about fake BK-18s and I looked on eBay and saw a lot of BK-18s with suspiciously low no reserve auction prices.

I want to add a BK-9 and BK-16 down the road. If I am sure the BK-10 is genuine I can perhaps get those from the same seller at a similarly cheap price - the BK-10 was $114 with Texas sales tax.

Looks real. Again, I haven’t heard anything about fake 10s, it’s an older model and I wouldn’t worry about it.
