Fake Benchmade Stryker

There are a lot of fake Benchmades, Emersons, CRKTs, etc. being sold in Third World countries these days. They look very nice. Once in a while you will see one with unbalanced bevels, but most of the time they look pretty good... until you put them on a stone and try to sharpen one... It's like sharpening butter...

If the price looks too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.

I'd be surprised if they do anything. I reported a few fake items in the past and none were removed.

This fake is being sold within the USA. I see no one has a bid on any other junk that the seller has listed.

The only way eBay will remove it is if Benchmade (or anyone I suppose) files an affidavit stating they are the intellectual property rights/patent holder, and the seller is violating their rights. Then eBay will close the listing on the order of Benchmade, not their own. That way if the seller is being wronged it will be Benchmade that is liable for the damages, not eBay.

Can you imagine the chaos if eBay removed every listing reported as "fake"? It would be sort of like everyone on Bladeforums having the ability to remove other peoples threads at will.

One of the sellers other items has Smith & Wesson on the blade and it looks like the Remington "R" on the pivot.

What a ripoff. I hope nobody buys that thinking it is a Benchmade and that they are getting a deal. So far it shows there are no bids.
