I just sold my Sebenza box elder burl and the buyer (not on BF) said it is fake. Ive handled and owned many CR knives and it did not look like a fake to me. Now I am wondering if I had a fake or is the buyer scamming me? Pics below:

That’s not a fake. I just bought one that is very similar but I kinda like yours better!

Ive owned probably about 25 Sebenza’s over the years and it seemed as real as any. I just hope I get the Sebenza back and not a fake one. It is likely the buyer is ignorant or a scammer. I guess I’ll find out in a few days.

Do you at least have his money?

Buyer just contacted me and said he was tired from work and will take a closer look tomorrow. Said it felt loose and uncentered. I guess we will see. Thanks for taking a look. Wanted to make sure I wasn’t crazy.

The pivot screw on both my smalls eventually back out a bit over time and get a little lose and uncentered. Even the best of knives may need a little loctite from time to time. Hope he takes a peek and sees what we see, a damn fine looking knife.

I think your buyers wiring is loose and uncentered!

Another reason I only sell on BF ;)

Buyers remorse if you ask me. Had it happen to me on two occasions. The good thing is, through PP, he won't get his money back until the knife is returned to you if he files a claim. Make sure when he sends it back you get a tracking number and the acceptance receipt from the P.O. It will show the weight of the package.

Definitely not a fake. And the easiest way to convince buyer is to have them look inside the scales with a flashlight to see the date stamps. No fakes have ever had date stamps as far as I’m aware.

Looks good to me. I would get it back in hand before giving refund.
