Fake Bucks Selling Like HOTCAKES!

Buck's gotta report it and we've told Buck many times.

Apparently they can't or won't do anything even though the stamp on the sheath looks like a Buck stamp (which should make it a copyright infringement).

Kind of reminds me of those "made in Pakistan" abominations that came into circulation from who knows where back in the early 1980's..

Cheers,

The sad thing is some people just think they are getting a good deal and don't know any better.

I think that's really true. Even knowing you have to shop carefully and buy from a reputable vendor, you can still get stung pretty hard.

I always wonder how many newer BUCK fans that aren't forumites here or anywhere else bite on these and won't buy an other BUCK product.

You know, once bitten twice shy.

I can't specific yet, but there is someone fixing to pay a hefty price for selling fake BUCK knives.

I saw one on ebay about a year ago and emailed a picture of it to buck and told them where it was coming from and they emailed me back and said that it was the real thing. So i bought it. Its great. Of course some bucks are made over there so who knows how many extra they might run and have to sell that they shouldnt sell.

OK, Here's a situation. There "could be' a person who bought leftover Buck parts at the Camillus factory sale. He is putting them together, and appears in a quality manner, and selling them on Ebay without stating they are parts knives. They are the same parts used by Camillus, he could even be a former employee of Camillus. Are those Buck knives, equal to Camillus contract Bucks ? or are they total Bunk knives....

Then they sh ould be listed as a left parts kit from so and so company or factory. And I wouldn't have an issue with it.honesty goes a long way.

Here's another situation to answer your's....... If you sent that knife to Buck for warranty work would they honor it?....If not, I guess they really are just BUNKS....

Sky,

Good point. Knowing how good Buck is you never know......but I would feel it wasn't right.... But, there will be unknowing folks that 'think' they are Bucks when they buy them. Just a bad situations all around. I will go with Kid and say honesty is the best policy.
Did go ahead and sent info to Buck. Just you guys beware of knives with stamped shields.
