Fake Commander on E-Bay.

razorsharpknife is a reputable knife dealer and ebay seller.

I would give him the benefit of the doubt, but it seems they either sold, or he pulled the listing. I don't know Emerson knives that well, so I would not be able to spot a fake, but I have bought several spyderco knives from him, and have never had a problem.

dude you need to know what you're talking about before you start threatening honest people. sence you obviously don't know what you're talking about. the commander in the picture is a REAL commander. the guy is just using an old stock picture of a REAL 2000 commander.

well sir, this is is no way the knife EE pictured on the first post of this whole thing. your attention to detail is sorely lacking. but I have the feeling you're one of those people who "just dont get it" so I won't waste any more of my time talking to someone like you.....dude

I can't help myself. You try to come off like you are so informed on the issue and you don't even know enough to know the picture you posted above is of a real commander. have you ever seen a 2000 commander? I already know the answer is no because they had 3 body screws on each side and it's the current design that has only 2. The logo IS in the right place, the apperance of the serrations being different and the entire blade being black are from the shadow created by the camera flash. And you act like the ebay sheriff and you don't even know enough to know you are wrong. Did you even see razorsharpknife has a feedback rating of almost 30,000 and it's 100% positive. God people like you piss me off. ok now I'm done

none of the 2000's had numbers on the blade. and what you're missing, the most obvious feature was the blade grind. the fake ones have this big bevel along the spine about 3/4 of the way back. the real 2000's had that bevel but it was small enough to almost miss in a picture. you need glasses or something there not identical

In the interest of being fair, I deleted my original and subsequent posts. In my opinion, razorsharpknife should not post a photo of a six year old knife in a listing for a "factory-new" knife. By the way, your knowledge of Emerson products is very impressive.

In fairness to rjd, he was trying to be helpful although maybe a little quick on the draw.

Too many good eBay dealers use old pics which confuses buyers. example, I'm looking for the latest Buck Strider Spearpoint, many dealer still show the old model which has been obsolete for a couple of years.

Maybe he should not have posted an old pic,but I have bought from razorsharp knives before, and had no problem-great seller!! He should be cut some slack for the old pic!!

Right. Should not have posted an old picture of something that was not the knife he was selling. Sounds like that seller was asking for trouble.

I prefer sellers who say if the knife pictured is the knife they are selling because too many times that is not the case.
