Fake enduras?

Are there any known fake enduras out there? I got one from... uh... THAT auction site and it's a great blade but the backlock pivot pin was stripped. The clip is also a SLIIIIIGHTLY glossier than the other endura I just received and I also noticed that the inside of the backspacer is slightly different as well (one backspacer only exposes the lanyard hole and one screw hole for the pocket clip. The other (on the suspect endura) exposes the lanyard hole and all three holes for the pocket clip).

I can try and snap some pics of anyone is interested.

I've talked to both Spyderco (they'll fix it under warranty) and the seller (return for refund or replacement)... just curious if it may be a fake as that will determine my course of action.

Pix... The orange endura is what I have questions about. Though of course both of them were purchased on, uh, well, you know... but from different sellers.

I just looked at my blue Endura and it looks just like your grey one on the inside. Don't know about that orange one.

Most likely just a minor change in the size/placement of the lanyard hole relief cut in the backspacer. Can't swear to it, but I strongly suspect it was enlarged because the Endura and Matriarch II share the same handle and it's simpler to use the same backspacer for both models. I say that because the backspacer in my Matriarch II has the larger cutout like your orange Endura's, and the tip of the Matriarch II's blade fits into it when the knife is closed.

the orange FRN looks like it came from the same set of dies as the gray, given the scale patterns, even in the way the toque screw heads are seated.

Good to know. Thanks, guys! :)

Now to decide..... Ship to seller for an exchange or refund (to buy elsewhere)? or to Spyderco for Warranty? Hmmmm...
