fake gladius ID

hi CS
i am a chinese and live in mainland.
recently a chinese knife dealer sells so called cold steel gladius ,is there a gladius looks very similar to Busse gladius with double holes on guard in damascus and OEMed by HuaNuo ShangHai?
this is very important to me , i wanna spot this guy as a liar.

The dealer says this gladius will be in production in June 2018 , and it is under testing secretly by CS now.

Yes, Cold Steel is making these. However, it can only be lifted by those worthy to wield this magical weapon. It comes with a sheath, wizard
hat and a crystal orb. Cold Steel's demon lord may banish me to an eternity in a fiery hell forge, for exposing their secret weapon.....

You don't need Cold Steel's official response to find out that this entire story is bogus. Cold steel wouldn't use those talon holes and risk being sued.

Just by looking at this anyone can tell it is not a Cold Steel product.

If you do feel you need an official statement try emailing cold steel or going to their message board.

Wait for it to be officially released by coldsteel if it's legit. It looks like a knock off of a busse though.

I don't think cold steel will respond.

I would say he's a liar. If it's not released by cold steel especially.

Dingy, you may want to also link or email Busse, as it is their IP being coppiedit is weird that a person copying the Busse Gladius would then claim it is a Cold Steel product, rather than the more expensive Busse.

i am a Consumer of CS for years , when i go here to ask ID questions , it deserves CS seriously feedback.

Cold Steel doesn't really respond in this forum much.

Look it is clearly not a cold steel product. If you don't trust the words of us here let me explain it you.

Your question is like showing us a picture of a Honda and then asking, "are you sure it isn't a Mercedes?"

So we answer: "it is clearly not a Mercedes"

And you go, "well I'm not sure, I think it might be a Mercedes still"

Its not a cold steel knife. If you think there is even a slight chance this is a cold steel knife then I have a monkey that throws golden poop to sell you.

Here's a suggestion.

1. Go on CS website
2. Use the 'Contact Us' button to get their direct email address
3. Email them saying there's a Dealer trying to sell you a fake CS Gladius, and include the pics you posted here. Ask them if it is an authentic CS model.
4. Wait for a reply.

That should give you all the "proof" you need.

Why would you believe someone if the product isn't even released yet. China is the place all the clones are from. They are known for dishonesty. If he's trying to sell you something as cold steel and it's not even released that's probably going against a legal obligation between the factory and cold steel.

You proving to him that he is false is not going to do anything. He's just gonna find someone else to suckered into buying it.
 
Careful guys, the seller's feelings might get hurt in all this, don't forget. I'm sure the seller is probably 100% innocent and thinks it is genuine himself.:rolleyes:

Think about it though D dingy this is a super secret unreleased model. Someone at Cold Steel customer service probably won't even know about it. Yep, unless Lynn Thomas himself comes into this thread and refutes this we will never know if this is real CS or not.

The dealer is clearly lying, you know it and we know it. Its a knock off of a Busse Gladius nothing more nothing less. The only real thing you need to say to the dealer is "Your full of S***" its clearly not a cold steel product.
