So i searched for info and could only find links to ebay ads and statements claiming the Karahawk has been cloned. Can anyone tell me what to look for in a fake vs real Karahawk? Thanks kindly

Can't tell you if they exist, or what to look for, but the simplest way to avoid fakes of any knife is to patronize reputable knife dealers.

yeah but also we have an exchange here for individuals to sell. i already have a karahawk and want to confirm it's authenticity.

I'd say the part that makes you suspicious that it's a fake would be a good place to start, but several photos of different areas would be best.

Right. And if you deal with well respected members who participate in other areas of the forum outside of the exchange (IE, they are not here to just buy, sell, and/or trade) the likelihood of getting a fake is reduce just as if you are buying from a reputable dealer.

IMHO, the only 100% surefire way to confirm authenticity is to send it to Spyderco for evaluation, along with $5 for return shipping.
