Fake knives help from you guys

A year ago I bought a very heavy duty ontario rat 1 I thought maybe a special version or something but it was a fake but it was built a lot more robust I want to know why if anybody knows about that stuff let me know

Robust can simply mean they did less work on it and left it heavier. The (unneccessary) additional weight might give the impression that it is a sturdier knife.
Hard to say without direct comparison.

The Rat knives have been copied and the clones are mostly pretty bad and no doubt they have different steel than what they are supposed to be.

Iirc one indicator of clone is the pivot color. I forget. There was a thread about it about two years ago. Maybe you can find it with the search function.

If you bought it from an authorized dealer you may be fine.
