There are many knockoff clones of many microtech models, both fake branded and unbranded. There are fake LCC's , there are many fake OTF's, side openers and fixed blades. Most are made in china.

Well reason I asked is cause I just bought a Lightfoot made in 1999 supposedly... No markings on it saying MT, but the shark on the clip is there. Does anyone know if they ever made without the markings on the blade like most I see??

Here's a solid copy of a Select Fire... The only thing that threw me off is the pivot, the rest looked pretty legit.

I think that Microtech might be the ONLY company where i'd rather buy a knockoff than the original.

Still wouldn't do it, because the guys making the MT knockoffs do it to other companies, but i'd rather give them my money than microtech

Well reason I asked is cause I just bought a Lightfoot made in 1999 supposedly...

The first 3 Microtech Lightfoot DA Protos were made 05/2000, the first production Microtech Lightfoot MAs were made 08/2000, and the first production Microtech Lightfoot DAs were made 09/2000. All of these had the date of manufacture marked on the blade. If you have a Microtech Lightfoot dated 1999, it's a fake.

This is a SA knife. It's very solid, just doesn't have any markings besides the shark on the clip. Were there any SA lightfoots made in 1999 like this??
