I was looking CSI Las Vegas on television today and my wife saw a Spyderco. Looking back at the knife I thought it looks fake. What do you guys think?
Images are not really sharp...

Clearly not a Spyderco, rather a flea market brand copy of the type one used to find in BudK and similar catalogues. They have plastic thumb openers where the Spyderhole should be. I remember seeing these under the Frost Cutlery moniker among others. Cheap junk quality.

On the better picture on the television it was clearly not saying VG-10 on the blade

The serrations appear a little small and look to go to far up the blade but again it's not clear. Pivot pin looks gen three as does the lack of Boye dent.

I would disagree. It may very well be a gen 3 endura 50/50 combo. Pic is not clear enough but my gen 3 looks just like that.

It's a copy maybe of your knife but the checkered plastic thumb stud is a giveaway. My first knife (before I saw the light) was that same knife. Crappy steel and construction. I think mine was under the "Maxam" name but I see them for sale all the time at gas stations, flea markets, etc under different names.

Yup, you're right. I thought that was a hole in the blade but after your pic you can see its really that black disc. You can also see the lock bar pin is in the wrong place and the pins have a chrome bushing instead of black.
