Wondering if anybody could provide me some feedback. I found this knife online for a good price, and was wondering if it was fake.

Here's the text from the ad:

"Solid lockup, no blade play and a very smooth action. Still has a sharp factory edge. Has never been beat on. This is the gunner grip edition which has very coarse stipling on the handle for a superior grip even with gloved hands."

its fake bro. same knife for sale on the biggest counterfit site for 18$, A real strider has a over extension disk.

My guess would be fake b/c they don't put the bos heat treat stamp on their SnGs anymore, plus the thumb stud looks way to big. How much are they asking?

He is asking $150 (ding ding ding, fake), I firgured it was a fake for the price, but you never know. Thanks for the feedback, and details, I know what to look for in the future.

You might want to remove those pics, I think it gives access to your whole album. May be normal, I don't know.

No lock stabilizer is the immediate visual tell on this one. Not all are that easy though as many will be so close even a pro can be fooled if not looking close before buying. I saw a DCC that was so close it would have fooled even me. I'm still amazed at some of the knives. It is very hard to tell on some until you back a screw out and check to see if it is metric or not. In these close cases one has to be reliant on the hardware as the final tell.

A real strider has a over extension disk.

Not necessarily. The first generation Striders did not have the Hinderer Lock Stop. The Lock Stop started in the second gens I believe.

Regardless it is still a blatant fake.
