Why doesn´t Cold steel do anything about sellers on Ebay who sell fake Tantos?
From my computer I can not even report the seller to Ebay...
Frankly speaking, I get really pi***d...
The guy continue to sell his sh*t and pretend he doesn´t know...

Please be careful with Ebay, Its starting to become flooded with fake CS knives and grossly overpriced listings. So many fake master tantos and fake recon tantos.

Cold Steel is heavily invested in protecting their designs. The fault does not lie with CS.

They don't have the ability to police all imports and US customs also can't catch them all. The volume of imports from China and other places is simply too high to check every shipment. And US customs is also more interested with stopping drugs and other higher priority contraband. It is easier to see drugs etc than tell if a crate of knives is fake from 5he outside.

It is with absolutely unscrupulous Ebay and their profits combined with sellers with no morals.

The sellers are crooks and Ebay does not take any action that would diminish its own profits.

Report the sellers. I do, but Ebay allows them to just resist.

I reported fake CS items for years to ebay, every time I saw one listed. In my experience - the end result is ebay will not take down the fake listings. And if they do, which was rarely, the item is back on ebay in a week, from the same sellers. Regardless, don't stop reporting the fakes to ebay - maybe some day it will make a difference. Personally, now I only report fakes occasionally (Don Quixote).

Yes, the only thing to do is to report the fakes... We have the same problem here in Sweden with fakes and the auction companies do nada to take it away... Well, my blood boils when the seller pretend to not know that he is selling a fake... At those times I want to do something nasty but as the good boy I am I don´t...

I gave up on telling EBay too after their inaction. I did get a few sellers that didn't know it was a fake and they either took the ad down or listed it as such, but the majority were not, so I gave up on that too.

I just saw a seller with some satin XHP recon models im pretty sure never existed. the only satin Recons were in s35vn. Hes got plenty of bad reviews saying he's selling fakes from months ago and he's still selling. the Recons look very convincing too..

just to clarify, some of my own collection say CTS XHP and also CTS@XHP (The R symbol for trademark)

was this normal?

Unfortunately, eBay is far from safest place, I'm also from Balkans, so Amazon is not an option for me...

As others have said, this is normal. I have a few knives I purchased either direct from Cold Steel or an authorized dealer, for example:

With the @ symbol

Talwar 4" blue

American Lawman

Without the @ symbol

Thompson Vaquero

Frenzy

Immortal

Hi Cold Steel tanto's owners

with QR code and bare code of the box no problem , so its a original CS , right ?

If you bought it from Cold Steel it should be real, otherwise pictures of good quality are needed.

IMHO that is a real one. Great pictures by the way. Nice knife, I have two.
