Fake UKPK?

Definite fake. These are the worst fakes out there, since they duplicated all the markings as well as the knife itself. Only thing they "forgot" were the grooves for clip on left side, that's what gives it away.

Given the seller's location and the absence of any tang markings, I'd say that's a dead ringer for a fake. :thumbdn:

Can Spyderco take any action with ebay to stop this?

Chasing shadows. They could take action, but the effort may be much greater than the result.

Interesting that the seller used C128 in the listing.

That's shameful. I just sent him an email asking him if this knife was made by Spyderco. :barf:

Eh... You're kinda just wasting your time. He probably does this for a living. He knows it's a fake, and he's not going to admit it.

It's a fake, as others have said. There was one person putting up fake UKPK's, and the only way to tell was that it was missing the reversible clip.

The fake Kershaw is a hoot, they mark the blade S30V and list it as 440. They can't even get that right. The fakers are nothing but scum.

Too bad for the person who thinks its a Spydie and buys it.
On one hand I think, if you know so little about the product that you actually believe you can get one for under 10 bucks than you deserve what you get.

But the truth is, it just gives Spyderco a bad name when someone buys a POS knife and experiences its utter junk-itude and attributes that quality to Spyderco.

What is worse, these people (that buy fakes) think *we* are the idiots for paying a much higher price than they paid.

I guess they think that we are all pretty jazzed by orange staplers too (anyone else find that graphic odd in the lower left corner?)

Add to that, the people who buy thid crap and when it breaks send it to Spyderco for repair. I would seriously like to know how many fakes that Spyderco sees sent in for repair work.

This is a good question. I'd be curious to know this as well. I wonder how many fakes other often-copied manufacturers (Rolex, Omega, CRK, CRKT, etc) see for repair?

My guess would be that people who pay $10 for a knife (or $20 for a Fauxlex) are not savvy or motivated enough to send it in for repair. Besides, shipping one way costs about as much as replacement.

Rolex fakes are a dime a dozen. Heck, there's even a whole company that clones other makers designes.
