"Other versions of this knife are made with more expensive material.. that is why the price of this knife is much lower."

The best part is that they supposedly made it out of 420J but they kept the H1 on the blade not knowing that was the steel in the real one. Hilarious!

Incredible these things pop out on a regular basis it seems. Nice catch rycen. If only Ebay cared more about ethics and investigated the reported dealers instead of chasing the almighty dollar.

Ebay is on its way out I think. I know more than a few people that used to conduct a large amount of business on Ebay, and none of them sell there anymore for various reasons. Personally, (in consideration of the volume of fake knives...some of which are quite convincing) I will only buy knives from people and dealers that have earned my trust. I have not shopped on Ebay in a LOOONG time;)

In the thread about this on the factory forum, Kristi said she's bringing it to the attention of Spyderco's legal department. Hopefully, the can do something, either through eBay's VERO program or directly with the seller.

I just reported that item.

As far as eBay is concerned, not everyone there is a scammer. For example for the first time in my life I am selling some of my collection, including a bunch of Spydies, and I am selling them on eBay...(yeah I could have spent the money on a gold membership here and sold them on the exchange. Well, I figured out I'd try eBay and see what happens).

Hello,

Your joking right??? eBay is the largest auction site on the Internet. They have very little over head, employ a massive amount of people all over the world, and a lot of peoples whole entire business is done threw eBay. eBay will be around as long as the Internet is around and counterfeits will always be part of it. Sadly It's the buyers responsibility to know what they are buying is the real deal.
