Fake Zwilling Pro?

I bought a 7pc block set from Zwilling's website. They were half off. I thought I got a good deal. They showed up after three weeks, which is understandable given the circumstance. After looking at them closely, I was not happy. For one, the imprints look way off. I compare them to the product photos on their website. Mine don't have the registered R within a circle next to the double-man logo. The style of the fonts and their placements are totally different too. The block was bubble wrapped. No box, no original packaging. I couldn't reach anyone in the company via phone or email. I was hoping a knowledgable person on this forum could help me verify the authenticity of these knives. I'm thinking they're fake. They're the Pro series.

If you bought it directly from Zwilling's own website, I'd say odds are 100% good that they are genuine.

Do the knives hold an edge and cut well, or do you only care that the logos are visible?

I didn't test them... They felt kinda chintzy tbh. The logos are visible but there's no registered trademark next to it, which is different than the official imprint. It's a legitimate concern.

I went to a popular kitchen knife vendor, let's call them 'Knives and Less'. I pulled up your 8" chef knive, scrolled to bottom and watched the in-house review. The review covers three different styles of this knife - the Pro, Pro-S and Pro-Chef (I think). Anyway, 2 of the three being discussed did not have the trademark info. BUT, if you look up those three knives on any website you choose, the stock manufacturer photos all have the trademark info. My point? Maybe Zwilling has started leaving the trademark info off of their current production. (?) Check out that review video

I have a genuine Zwilling Pro, which I purchased new from a major retailer. In person, not shipped (back in the Before Times). The blade imprinting on mine looks just like the "website" image in your photo, not like the imprint on the actual knife in your photo.

I have no idea if yours is real or not, but mine looks like the images on the web site, not like your knife.

Mine was purchased a number of years ago. They have have changed the blade imprinting recently but are still using older photos on the web site.

I have Pro-S’s in my kitchen (love them) that are about 15 years old, and all three have the full markings. That said...

if you ordered them from directly from Zwelling’s site I can’t imagine them being fake. But, if the were blems, it’s possible they would etch in the full thing. It’s actually pretty common for for companies not to put certain markings on blem items to keep them from differentiated.
