Hard to tell, and I'm no expert but it looks real. Again I'm no expert but that price seems a bit high to me for just a standard police(I may be way off base though).

It's real. I traded one recently, and at 300 bucks that will be there a while.

It's a real Police Model. The question is, is the black coating factory or aftermarket? It looks to me like one of the ones Jensen had done, but I could be wrong. Unless it comes in the original box, there's no way to be sure. I am sure that I wouldn't fork over $300 unless it was factory, in the original box with a notarized C.O.A. signed by Sal.

I looked on Atlanta craigslist for about a year and found everybody around here thinks they have gold. The pawn shops are the same way, charging over retail on beat down items.

I was questioning whether the black coating was real? I know it is a real spyderco.

did spyderco put out black coating on serrations and the black wears off on the tang. I don't think so.

Looks to me to be painted on a regular spyderco G2

Could be a real "Black Ti" Police, could be aftermarket coating. I'd want to see some better photos and a box marked C07SBK before I'd even consider making an offer. Without the box, the only safe assumption is that the coating was done aftermarket.
