Although this is a serious matter I had a good chuckle reading that last bit. Hope the fraud didn't sell one blade yesterday.Should I punch him out or what.
No sure if you're being serious, or not.At least , you weren't Almost tricked into buying a" 440c "Delica for $120 . Trust me. I know. But that's not even the craziest thing. This guy tried selling me a "Spyderco switchblade.". I mean C'mon ! What's the point of a thumb hole in an automatic knife .
I can only speak for myself here. but there are models where I'm confident of my ability to spot a fake and models I would not consider purchasing at a gun show or, for that matter, from anyone but a Spyderco dealer I trust. Are you guys sure you have the tools to spot fakes? Spyderco has made several automatics with their trademark hole in the blade. Also as seen on this site it's easy enough to swap parts like scales or the lanyard tube.
You learn something new here everyday. I never knew that Spyderco made switchblades ... Until your post. I wonder why l never saw them. I am Greek , you see. Every year l come to South Carolina for winter. I never saw any Spyderco Automatics . But l know for a fact that the ones that guy was selling were false , because they had 440c etched on the blade. No sure if you're being serious, or not.
The only Spyderco autoa with usable Spyderhole openers are the Vallotton after-market dual action conversions of the Vallotton Sub-Hilt folder. All Spyderco's manufactured as autos have a small, useless, hole in the blade for "trademark consistency" and the Bi-Fold has a another one, big enough to put your finger through.

But if you want to take a flyer on a PM2 with a brass lanyard tube, it's your money, your choice.
Well, if you're talking an "Italian style" switchblade like this...You learn something new here everyday. I never knew that Spyderco made switchblades ... Until your post.
