Tempting that Falcata - still biding my time on my first Kukri though.

Two fullers on that Falcata?

Wow, gorgeous offerings. That Falcata... I'm scared to think what my next month of food rations will look like if another one of these come up...

Nice grabs ndog and khukoo, my fingers are crossed for DDs!

No DD yet. I hope I didn't get stealth sharked because I've been wanting one of those Kumar Kardas pretty bad, and that one sang me to sleep last night.

Well good luck! I need to get one that big. Mine is 9 or 10" and makes a great kitchen blade, if a little thick.

Cut this here pineapple up with mine

Got the DD!
SG: I appreciate your enthusiasm and liberal use of pics. When I get the KK, I will return the favor and post pics of something good and cut to pieces.

Ndog, that's one heck of a kitchen knife. Be sure to use at least 2 cutting boards, as it will probably cut through the first. No promises that your counter will survive underneath :D

Khukoo, I do love me some pictures, both posting and looking. Just so happened to have snagged the pineapple pic last night. Can't wait to see what you find to slice!

I'm not a falcata fan, but that blade looks seriously wonderful. Good photography, Mrs. Martino!

Uhhhh! Yall know what time it is? Check your watch Scara. Its time to open my tri box and see whats inside:eek: Holy bajeezus shamoly frijole!!! Whew! Now thats the fineset thing I think I ever saw! Theres a Falcata in there! I dont know what to think? Man this thing feels so right in the hands.

It kinda reminds me of the Giant Chit Bowie in a lot of ways. This might just end up being my favorite all time HI piece! Got let it sink in before I decide anything like that. You have a Katana dog so think hard! Hmmm? thats true. Well Ill say in the top few:D

Its about the same thickness as the GCB. Id say 3/8ths.

and as usual the handle is perfect:thumbup: Im about a happy as a land shark in a slaughterhouse. Somebody better grab that last one. This is really an amazing piece of beauty. The drop along with the handle shape and balance makes this whole package feel like you could cut through a telephone pole. Well done Kumar and thank your Aunti Yandu for letting it come live with me:cool:
Ill do some action later. Enjoy!

Nice blade. How is yours to handle. Not to heavy? I had a moment of thought to buy the last one. But i don't know if i can manage a 58 ounce Falcata.

Wow, nice falcata, Ndog! Looks like you're still alive. Maybe you're hiding out in the doghouse? Looks like you're wearing your winter clothes (instead of shorts) with your bear feet. :)

At first I wasn't keen on the design of the Falcata. Was like (what would you do with a candy cane sword). But after seeing yours in hand as well the other great pictures my mind has changed.
What would you do with a candy cane sword? Any damn thing you want to is what! And look killer doing it 👍

I was thinking about putting a tennis ball on the end of it and using it as a cane. Reckon they'd let me into Walmart? Check out an Indonesian Barong LaRue. If you ever had a chance to swing one they are fantastic if they are made right. You can relax your grip and let the weight and balance of the blade do the work. Really a good thing. Same thing as a traditional Khuk with the ring and handle drop like Thamars Dui chirra for example.

Im actually pretty good now Steve. My wife decided she wants to start making jewelry so she's had about five packages a day coming in. She didnt say a thing about the Falcata except "Well you havent gotten a knife in a long time". I didnt say a thing about her stuff:rolleyes: I even got a Purna Dui Chirra the day before on the after market and I still have my head:p ..and feet! Cant believe theres still a Falcata at large. Last year about this time this blade was only a dream.
