Hi. Its been a long time since I've post this kind of thread.
This weekend I've went out to see a falcons pair breeding near my house.
They were doing pretty well.

This is pa (I suppose, but not exactly as I havent seen the chicks).
He's eating a pigeon, which was a race pigeon as I've found a ankle band, took from the cache.
Then mom found it and tell him to bring it to her, and took it into the den.

After a while, papa went out for hunting and and soon came back with his own lunch.

He ate it alone.

Here's a vid.

The nest site is located in the sea cliff, where we can find various sea food.

This is a barnacle. Very nice to eat it, either grill or boil. This time we put it into ramen.

It's somewhat cheat but good old Svea never lets me down. I really love it.

I wish you like them.
Thanks for looking.

Thank you for sharing your excellent photos/video and story of the beautiful falcons.

Thanks, guys for your positive comments.
This place is full of wind. I've got my best tripod there but as you see in the vid, it was pretty shaky.

The swedge in the spine was pretty useful to collect barnacles.

Thanks guys, really happy to see you like them.

very cool pics. thanks for sharing. i didn't know you can eat barncales.

Yes they can. But do not try raw, nor whole :D. Boil or grill, then remove the shells.
They taste very good.

Thanks, pitdog.

In the video my daughter is worried about black kites if they snatch her lunch.
Then I tell her not to worry because the falcons achieve good air superiority to defend their food,
which accidentally also protect our lunch. :)

Hi, here's some update about the falcons.
All are mom.

Something itchy. Definitely overkill the foot is to scratch her head :D

She will have to take a bath after this butcher job.

Beautiful flight feathers.

Maybe still too young to show up on the ledge but I'm pretty sure they have babies.

Thanks for your words, Rockywolf.

Its about sixty to hundred yards away.

Maybe because they live pretty close to the cities, it looks to me that they don't care much about humans.

I'm using field scope and compact digi-cam to take these shots, which is much less agile compared to SLRs but has more
magnifying power with less money (and less weight :D) .
