Got a package yesterday. "I didn't order nothin'," I sez to myself.
When I opened the box though? I was all, "O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
'Cause that's just how I roll.

OREGON FAL'ER, thank you for the nicest pair of Tweener scales I've seen or felt. Amazing work. Best ergos I can imagine.
I have an extra old-school (roll stamped) 17 that's been sitting in a box, so I immediately broker out the stripper and went to work.
A little while later, I had this lovely beast.

Thanks too for the fragrant pitch wood. I'll put it to use in a kit.
And if you'll give your permission, I'll post up the lovely note that explains the backgroud on these scales.

Okay folks, let the "lucky bastid" comments begin.

Very nice, You must have more then one compromising photo. Are they the same thickness?

Those are magnificent. As a fellow recipient of OF's generosity I would have to say we are lucky bastids indeed.

I'll third that motion!
although I prefer to be considered a lucky SOB - as my parents were married... ;)

I stand corrected. I think we have the basis for a new cage match series. Bastids versus SOB's. :p

First round: tradewater versus 1066vik. :D

trade, no tactical strollers allowed. If I were you, I'd go for the fetal position and tears strategy.

An excellent suggestion. I'm on it.

can I wear steel toed boots?
it never feels right, kicking someone when they're down if I'm wearing soft toed shoes. :D
and is maniacal giggling allowed?

Damn. I think I tapped into something that should have been left untapped.

sorry - it's the homemade blueberry cinnamon rolls I had for breakfast -- they make me giddy. ;)

Ok, I'll help you out.

"Lucky bastid."

or...

Nice woody.

Those look awesome, congrats. Nice work yet again OF.

Yeah man, I been meaning to hook you up for awhile. The 3d on those is real nice . I ended up putting 2 coats of tru oil on those and finish sanding to 2000 grit. The story on these is this chello/ viola/ violin maker who shops were I work got talking with me one day about woodworking, he tells me he's got this piece of american fiddleback maple in his shop and he can't use it for his instruments. He told me he's had it in his shop for 30 some years and he goes on to say his dads knife was stolen from him and he'd like to get a new knife. He said he'd let me have the chunk of fiddleback if I'd make him a set of scales for him and he'd pay me for a knife to put them on. So he's gonna get a BK17 with some of these. This first set is my test just to see how the wood rasps & sands. I really wanted to keep these.
