This knife is the Falkniven model P with a blade made of 3G laminate powder steel. This is a laminated blade consisting of two steels. It is hard and holds an edge well. The handles are blue bone, and I thought the color was really neat. There is no clip, but it comes with a ballistic nylon pouch. There is a thumb stud on each side of the blade, so lefty’s can open it easily. The studs are large enough for someone with big hands. This knife has a solid lock up and it clicks loudly into place. It’s made in Japan.

The knife opens very smoothly. When it arrived the action was, how shall I say, a little bit gritty. I put in one drop of Rem-Oil and this knife is smooth as silk now. Very nice.

Here you can see the laminated blade.

I played with it in a shop and I was very tempted (in the end I bought a Fontenille-Pataud Gentleman series knife which is supremely elegant, and I had the gut feeling that I could find the Model P cheaper online), and eventually I will succumb. It is slick and light, and no-nonsense like all Fallknivens. I liked it more than its big brother PX-L which offers Sebenza/Klotzli-like quality but which also is simply too heavy.

Nice knife - How thick are the liners on that one?
I seem to remember that the liner is around 1mm thick.
