Falkniven U2

Short answer. Yes.

Cost. On something that small it would be cheaper but I'd have to remake more than the scales. As I recall that knife will need the spring holder/spacer in the rear re-made as well which is the most difficult part to make up.

I did redo one of the U2 models in the past but I don't recall all the details. I know I did it in natural canvas Micarta but other than that I forget the rest.

You are most likely looking at $135 on that one straight up shipped with no clip. With one of my custom clips add $25 more.

Thanks for asking.

Sweet! Thank you for your time. I will save up, and get back in touch when I can do it. Thanks, Steve

STR sorry to bother you about this again but I should have enough saved up to send to you in a week or two, but I also want to know if there is any way you could add a thumb stud for 1 hand opening? Either way I will be in touch soon,
Thanks, Steve

Done it many times on that folder.

Even added some pocket clips to them on an occasion or two.

You can find those by doing a search on the BackYard Mechanics forum anything goes over at the Knife forums. Just find one of my posts and search for all threads I've started I guess. Or some are on the FallKniven forum also.

Now that I think of it I stuck a post on that a long long time ago over hear in the embellishment forum as well.

Found one here. http://www.knifeforums.com/forums/showtopic.php?tid/775618/fromsearch/1/hl/One|hand|U2/tp/1/

And these here are all that I could find in some very very old threads over there showing a front and side view of the pocket clips I'd used on them. I have one more of those old clips left and after that I don't think anymore are even available. They were discontinued by Gerber as I recall. They used to come in a new LST folder and I modified them to work on U2s. Its expensive to do though.

Here is a pic of two I did for customers. You can see its more than just installing the thumb stud on these. You have to create a thumb ramp afterwards that will aid getting it open and also allow the blade to close. This is a big pic so you can see it. The top one was still in progress in this picture and needed some additional refinement. The bottom one as I recall was ready to mail.
