Fall shotgun turkey season came in last Sat. and goes thru Fri. with a two bird limit, only one per day allowed.

Went Sat. no turkeys but did manage to get a coyote about 10 am

Didn't hunt Sunday but went to my brothers place Mon. and Tues. for my limit

And for the knife used, a JK Kentucky Fieldmate. It's my dedicated turkey hunting knife, and it see's some other use as well. I pocket carry it, and gotta say it's one of my favorite knives. Big enough without being too big.

What it looks like now- starting to get a nice patina

when new- back in Feb. (already been used on 6 turkeys, cooking and some wood whittling)

Very nice take! Love the Tuesday morning photo. I saw a coyote that chased a doe within 3 feet of me during muzzleloading weekend but didn't shoot it. The reason being that it was so large (I would swear 35-40 lbs) that I couldn't believe it wasn't a domestic dog of some type. By the time I got positive ID it was gone.

Nicely done brother! I also really dig that patina that your turkey knife is gettin. Carbon steel gets so much charicter with age.
