Last week's fall turkey season harvest. Here, all birds are legal in the fall. (In the spring only bearded birds are legal.) Planning to make a couple wing bone calls from the hens.

Wednesday Jake and Hen - First time hunting with Dad that we both got birds. Usually I'm tagged out and then go help him get a bird or two.

Great pics Guess we know what you are having for Thanksgiving dinner.

I haven't shot a turkey in quite a few years. Kinda just went back to small game birds and deer the last few. Will have to get back into Turkey after seeing some down.

Congrats on the birds! Any comments on using your Woodsman?

A little bigger than I'm used to using on turkey's, but it worked great! Normally, I use a 3" blade that's about 3/4" tall or sometimes a small filet knife.

Here's a couple wing bone calls I've got. A friend made the three bone, and I made the two bone call.

Hi kyturkey -

Awseome pics!

Yesterday on my way to work there was a flock of turkeys in a field - there were about 10 of them.

I like living out in the sticks.

best regards -

** edit - I saw them again this morning - there were 11 of them - it was around 6:30am. **

In the fall/winter they get into flocks, sometimes really big groups. They usually are pretty easy to pattern too. Seems they get into a routine of where they roost and feed for weeks at a time.
