I was cleaning a bunch of my favorite knives and was carrying them back to my room on a tray when the corner of the tray knocked against the wall and bang. 8 of my knives fell on the ground (wood floor) is there anything I should be worried about other than a few dings in one of the G10 scales on one and some scratches on the anodization? I wish I would've been more carefull..
Thanks guys

The first thing to check is that all your toes are intact. Pinky toes are easy to not see. I've dropped a zt 0350 5 feet from the ground. Landed on the concrete just right, it has a hairline crack on the spine going to thumb stud. I have batoned a couple 2x4 and spine whack. Still going strong.

The only knife I've ever damaged by dropping was my Manix 2 LW. I dropped it on my concrete basement floor and it made a small hairline crack on the edge of the scale above the pivot. Other than that the worst thing that will happen is you snap a tip off the blade or end up having the doctor try to re-attach one of your toes, lol.

The worst is when they fall tip first. You look down and the knife is sticking straight in the flooring. The look on my girlfriends eyes when I pulled it out of the floor. Check the tips.. That is bad if the doc is trying to reattach a toe. They should be confident in being able to or not . That would be bad . 2 hrs later, sorry we just couldn't get it to attach. We did make a lanyard bead for your knife.

They are all titanium framelocks and a zt 0909 and benchmade contego. The were closed so the blades was fine. When they fell the blades opened up though. I checked the screws and only one of them had the pivot screw loosened a bit. Will the LBI screws still be tight if (I assume) the factory put loctite on? I dont want to mess with a lockbar screw if I don't need to

Haha I don't mind sacrificing a toe or 2 for my knives

I still can't believe the same day I got my Reate torrent and I dropped him.. oh well there's nothing I can do about it now

I'm sure that they're fine but let's not take any chances...send them to me and I'll test them over the next several months and only return the ones that I feel are safe... completely free of charge :D

Wow I am so surprised at how many kind and generous people are on these forums!

Just make sure not to try and catch a falling knife. It may open up or if it's already open will cut you.

I’ve dropped my Gemini on blacktop at least 5-6 times. A couple tiny cosmetic drop dings, but nothing serious.
