Please PM me if you want to go!

You of all people should know that not all people with beards are hippes. You live in the mountains!

Granted. However, I know a hippie when I see one... and, my friend, there are some hippies in those pictures. :p

regardless, they probably could bushcraft the crap out of stuff over me with their hands behind their back.

I bet they know their stuff, no doubt. Like I said, I bet it'll be a hell of a good time. I might try to go, next year. I'd like to try it this year, but there's no way I can swing that kind of time away currently.:(

First thing I did when I moved from texas to Idaho was grow my beard from a southwest gotee to a mountain man scruff. Now I got hair down to my collar and look like I just came down from 9,000 feet-because, well, it's true.

Looks like a lot of fun. And, also, looks like a lot of hippies... :p

Looks a bit like a Rainbow Gathering:D

I'd say a lot of my friends who moved here during the back to the land movement (hippies)are pretty good bushcrafters. I love to go backpacking with my friend Bill who homesteaded for like 30 years nearly and has built cabins made spoons done about everything by hand because he's got the whole nomadic tribe vibe going. Whatever you are doing he will either help you or do something else that needs done.

In fact that's the main thing I notice about hippies. I mean the real ones. Say one of my back to the land pals comes and I'm say picking beans or something. They won't just set there and talk to you while you work. They immediatly join you in doing whatever work you are doing.

Ouch! I'd love to go but, being a starving student, I just can't afford to part with $255 or $65 per day. I'll start saving whatever pennies don't go for blades, fly fishing gear, camping gear, or bee- uhhh school supplies.

Bees?

Oh and hollow dweller, I got some "rainbow people" stories for you, while snake hunting in Ocala, FLA

Damn I wish I could go. Already used my vacation time this year. That's close too. Hindsight 20/20 bla bla bla.

I don't know if I could pull off six days, but I could probably do one or two. Maybe more, but I would probably have to come home once or twice to take care of bidness. Any idea if you have to stay the whole time?

nope, don't think so. You could probably sell sticks there too. Hey, did Steve get in touch with you?

I'm only going to be there for 4 days, and then up to scott gossman's campout.

Looks like a great time! Wish I wasn't starting school up right now so I could make the trip!
