I used my buddy's A1 and am amazed how well the blade performs and how solid it is.The laminated vg10 is excellent and it doesnt rust, grinds are perfect and handle comfortable. Will have to get one! Any opinions welcome.I wish Bark River would make something with same blade style in carbon steel at around 8-9inches!

I continue to abuse my A1 and it continues to put a big smile on my face. The edge retention is amazing and when I need to touch it up, I just strop it and it's ready to rock & roll.

Glad you like it. Fallkniven makes great knives.

But if it's so amazing, excellent, perfect, and comfortable, why would you want a one made by a different manufacturer, in a different steel, at a different size? It seems like you like what it is now. :)

Agreed. At least best non-folding knife of that size. I use it mainly for heavy wood work and it's gring (what's the name?) is great for that.
