Hello there. I'm new on the forum and this is my first post. I couldn't find a thread for presentations and such matters, but I'll do it in this post besides a question. I'm from Chile, I like bushcrafting and here, there's so many places, from north to south with a weather/terrain variation that I feel fortunate to live here, but first, to have the proper knowledge that this forum through you guys, I hope to learn gladly.
Well, this is my question. I've recently bought a Fallkniven A1, but unlike all reviews I've seen, mine had not a "scary" sharp. So, I've bought a DC4 whetstone too, but now I'm here looking info for a correct sharpening. I've read in the box of the knive that the most useful method is to try to cut slices off the stone, but cannot achieve a good sharp IMO. Tried the ink-trick too, but at testing (cutting a paper), the sharp is too thick and doesn't make a too much clean cut to it.
Any suggestions are welcome.
