Fallkniven A1 vs. Cold Steel SRK

Fallkniven A1, by a LONG SHOT. It has a longer, thicker blade, and is made out of the excellent VG-10 "stainless" steel.

I have both knives, and REALLY like my A1 ALOT better. (In fact, I just NOW put-up an ad in the "Knives For Sale/Trade" Forum looking to trade my SRK [and a couple other knives] for a Fallkniven F1, or S1 [a smaller version of the A1].).

UPDATE (2/1/01): I now have a Fallkniven F1 "on the way".

I have both and like both. With that said ... the A-1 is in a different class. It costs a tad less than twice the price but is twice the knife. The A-1 not only beats out the SRK, but higher priced knives as well, IMHO.

I am, however, a carbon steel fan and enjoy the benefits of Carbon V (whichever is the steel dejour at CS) and feel as thought he SRK provides great bang fo the buck. If I could have only one, it would be the A-1.
