Hello guys, this is my first thread. i,ve got an Fallkniven A2 i bought it to use as my main chopper in the bush, when it arrived it was not sharp, in fact it was nothing less than blunt. I knew i had to get off to a good start so i used my Lansky system to set the end, i set it on the top notch on the clamp at 30 degrees bearing in mind i wanted to use it for chopping splitting duties. have i made the right choice?

The A2 is probablly convex edged so it has no defined grind angle.have you tried a butchers steel?I sharpen both of my Fallkniven's with a steel and get a scary sharp edge.
I'm interested in the A2.Let me know how it works out for you.

i have tried it out on hard wood it was about 3" diameter it went through well with no bind less than 2 minutes easy, and i put it head to head with a rb6 predator out of interest on the same log had to stop, the top screw came out of the predator.
