Hey guys, gals. I'm looking to get a Fallkniven A2. So far I love everything about the knife, but im worried about chipping. Now if i'm careful and make sure i don't let it touch the ground, should i expect chipping?

Hi,

I haven't got an A2 (yet :o!), but have got an A1, F1 and a TK2 and not had a problem with chipping and I've used them for a great number of tasks, including a lot of batoning.

Fallkniven are, IMHO some of the best blades around, I have heard of them chipping, but usually because they have been used to baton on the ground and hit stones etc.

hth, John

Nope. Though it is worth giving them a quick sharpening touch up before use...it seems to make the edge even more chip resistant and refined.
