Fallkniven AI Sharpening Help for Serviceman!!

Hey Guys...

A friend of mine bought a Fallkniven AI for his son who is now in Iraq...
Knife is leaving in a few days..

I need simple sharpening instruction for this knife...

My friend will be eyeballing this thread..
I've instructed him to purchase some wet/dry paper and a mouse pad,, however I'm not an expert with laminated VG10...

You guys know what you are doing,,so I come to the experts for help..

The laminated stuff s no different to sharpen than the all VG10 stuff. Sandpaper and mousepad should work just fine.

However I need Detailed Instructions in "Cliff Notes" format,,as these instructions will be pasted into an email to a serviceman in Iraq..
Don't want to kill his bandwidth with an essay..

Thomas's link is good. Let me emphasize a couple points. You don't want to tip the spine of the blade too high off the paper, or you'll round-off the edge. Secondly, use light pressure as you strop, or you'll round-off the edge.
