fallkniven and sharpening wheels

is it possible to sharpen a convex edge like those found on a fallkniven a1 or f1 knife on a paper wheel sharpener like those sold by jantz or steve'ns? I know that most people would rather strop the knife but doesnt the paper wheel hug the blades edge like a strop? I have the paper wheels but before i attempt to resharpen my new knives i would like some feedback. thanks

Yes, you can sharpen convex edges on any media, even flat benchstones, but buffing wheels are commonly used by many to finish after the edge has been shaped usually on a belt sander.
