I have a esee 4 but I'm not sure I like the black tactical-ish look. Does anyone have comparison photos of fallkniven bark river or esee's together? Or general comments or other suggestions:)

It's easy enough to do a google search to find photos of the knives. Here's a photo of a Bark River Fox River with a green linen micarta handle. The blade measures about 4 1/4".

I think the OP meant, pictures of the 3 brands together.

@jimwalter

I dont have a Bark River, but here are 2 Fallkniven/ESEE shots.

Between Fallkniven and ESEE, id choose Fallkniven any day of the week. There are many threads, where the matter has been discussed. Do a search and you'll see what the pros/cons are between the 2 brands.

I love my Esee-4, but it's hard to strike a firesteel with it's spine if you didn't grind the coating off. It was quite a hassle to me.

Which Fallkniven is that? F1? S1? I love the way this knife oozes functionality. Nothing flashy about it.

I do believe that photos shows a Bark River Knife & Tool Fox River.

while I do not have any Falkniven knives, (hate the handles), I do have a nice Bark River Bravo One, and an ESEE 4. Of the two, the Bark River is a vastly better performer. Here are those two, along with a Busse CABS for comparison.
The Busse, with it's melted edges, is useless for throwing sparks, but other than that, it is the top dog of these three.

Do you care about blade coating?
I don't, so no esee here.
Here's a bravo-1 and a f1.

I had an ESEE 5 and sold it, I am planning on buying the Bark River Fallkniven F1 very soon.
Between the ESEE or F1, That's easy!!! F1 all the way!!!

I own an ESEE 4, Bravo-1 and Fallkniven F1. The question was a little vague, but in principle all three are similiar in form and function. Do you prefer convex grind or flat? Stainless or carbon?

The bravo-1 was twice the price of the other two, but not twice the knife by any means. It is also meant for a large hand IMO, and I have more of a medium hand so the F1 and 4 work better for me.

I would have to say the F1 is the superior knife if you consider price and function. I paid about 105 for mine. It also came wicked sharp out of the box.

You will likely get varied answers and opinions as each one of these blades are very popular and have a very loyal following. You simply cannot lose with any of these knives.

Buy the one you like most and strip the coating (if required). I don't care for blade coatings in general, but they do simplify maintenance.
