Friends of the forum.

I have finished off this engraving special in a knife Fallkniven ( Thor ) for sale. In principle he wished to do a motive with two Vikings and the God Thor. But when having the knife in my hands, I verified that manufacturer's brand was located at a zone, where no longer there was possibility to apply the initial design. I modified the design and I made a Celtic ornamentation to him, that he goes very well with Thor's figure.
Take metals incrustation in Thor's figure, but so that he not highlight the gold too much. Engraving with partial topcoats to give depth to the ornamentation. Original realized Thor's design by me and a good collector's worthy knife ( I hope that it come out purchasing ).
I will put the photos in two days.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS to all of the friends of the forum.

Friends thanks for words.
I thank his remarks on my engravings. The technique of strong water is little specialized to international level and the maestri with the technique of the burin are the majority of engravers.
A cordial greeting.

Someone should give you an award or something. Question though in the sketch it looked like there were other vikings sketched out below the main one of Thor, did you decide not to use them on the actual blade for aestetic reasons? Or would it have been too difficult or time consuming to add them to the lower part as well. It looks great either way I think maybe even better the way you did it engraving the other guys below might have taken away from the main focus on the top

That is just amazing. I've never seen anything like that before.

I made an initial design with Thor and two Vikings. Next when I had the knife in my hands, I verified that manufacturer's brand occupied part of the plate ( blade ) and he altered the space that I was needing to make the three figures.
I utilized one of Vikings for the pocketknife's engraving TK3 ( the fact that I taught does some days on the forum ) and I maintained Thor's image for this large knife.
I believe than the Celtic ornamentation, go very well with Thor's figure and he does than the knife when having it in hands, appreciate him a engraving special and very beautiful.

Thanks for his question.

Fabulous Workmanship! Your work should be displayed and sold at Renaissance Festivals. You display such Old World Craftsmanship it is such a fitting location. I bet museums would like your work as well.

Such awesome talent!
