Fallkniven F1 and WM1 with Sharpmaker?

Can I sharpen my convex edged F1 and WM1 with my Sharpmaker?
Does anyone use a Sharpmaker on their Fallkniven?

You can, but you will lose the convex shape and grind flat sides on it.

There are ways to sharpen a convex edge (you can run a search and find many threads on this), but I can tell you this: after I have sharpened my WM1 with the "proper" convex method, I do 3-4 light passes on each side on the Sharpmaker, just for the final touch of the edge. It works very well.

It is the way the Fallkniven recommends that you sharpen their convex blades, put a v-bevel on them. Some of them like the H1 even come this way, with a micro v-bevel.
