Cutting....... I think it blasts away flat-grinds with primary bevels, and a close second to hollow grind (but hollow grinds are not as "pry" friendly).
I feel you get a much better blade geometry for all cutting tasks. What it does is create less reistance along the blade allowing it to glide through material. What I have noticed is that dull convex blades will cut better than dull flat ground blades simply for this reason.
I second that. It seems like covex grind starts to split the material about 1/4" above the edge, and flat grind allows the material to drag along the entire sides of the blade.
