I have two F1s one with satin finish blade and leather sheath and another with black teflon coated blade and kydex sheath. Both have fully flat ground blades tapered in tip direction and conventionally sharpened edges. This configuration of edge is currently changed (in 2000 if I remember well) to convex edges so the newer knives have convex edge as well as all other Fällkniven models.
Seems this should be explained.Convex is the edge but not the blade main grind. In another words, the blade grind is still flat but the edge is created with two meeting convex surfaces. However they are convex at sharpening area only.
