Fallkniven F1 in Elmax steel

I just received the Elmax version of the Fallkniven F1 to add to my collection.

I noticed that, compared to the classical F1 (my VG10W version), the ricasso is slightly larger on the Elmax version:

As a consequence if you have a custom kydex sheath it will not fit perfectly.
Here the kydex sheath with the VG10W version:

And here the same sheath with the Elmax version:

Apart from that I'm very happy with the quality of the knife. The F1 is a reference and the Elmax steel is a good upgrade compared to VG10W.

Beautiful knife. I still need to get my hands on an Elmax fallkniven. I believe the scout is also in elmax.

Previously the F1 sheath from Fallkniven was not very good and I decided to order a custom kydex sheath from os-kydex-sheaths (because of the good reputation and because it's in Europe).
But with the new generation zytel sheath from Fallkniven and its two way locking mechanism I feel no need to order a custom sheath.
