I'm trying to make a decision among three very different items. I have plenty of Benchmade folders, but I reduced my collection of other makers quite severely a couple of years ago. Time to make a new purchase -- anyone willing to push me in a certain direction here?
I have both Bradley Alias folders, and really like them, but I'm now intrigued by the Mayhem balisong (I have no bali, but this is the first production model that I've liked the looks of, because of the blade shape). But I don't plan to learn how to swing the thing around -- I'm interested because of the very secure blade lockup and ease of carry.
And I got rid of my several fixed blade knives because most of the time they sat in the drawer, but was thinking of getting a Fallkniven F1 in micarta. Always liked the looks of that one, and it's earned nothing but positive reviews for performance and quality.
And then there's a knife that's gotten virtually no attention on the forums: the Lone Wolf Paul. I had an original Paul from Gerber, and sold it, because the blade steel was so mediocre, even though the lock was cool. I've seen the new Prankster, with 145CM and a pocket clip, and I'm intrigued, but I've read much about variable QC and customer service from Lone Wolf.
